Professional Background
In high school, Golway, along with two classmates, began his entrepreneurial career with a pizza business. In 1987, he sold the business, at a loss, and received his first painful lesson in business ownership.

To help pay for college, and cover the losses of the pizza business, he obtained an entry level engineering job, as a board draftsman, for Initial USA in the fall of that same year. He maintained a full time work schedule at Initial USA, while completing his bachelor's degree at the University of Louisville. He was recognized for his performance and leadership skills with election to the engineering honor societies of Alpha Pi Mu and Tau Beta Pi. He was awarded the Institute of Industrial Engineers Activity Award, for leading the University's chapter, as Chapter President, to a top 3 national ranking.

In 1992 Golway graduated, with honors, from the University of Louisville, with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Science. That same year he entered the Masters program at the JB Speed School of Engineering. He left Initial USA, as a Plant Engineer, and returned to his entrepreneurial roots to form an engineering services company with Dr. William Biles, a professor at the JB Speed School of Engineering. Golway served as a co-owner and Vice President of the newly formed Biles & Associates.

In 1993, Golway completed his thesis work, a project called AutoCRAFT, which was a BASIC and AutoLISP software program that merged the digital visual power of AutoCAD with CRAFT, a facility layout optimization tool developed in the 1960's. He was awarded a University of Louisville Research Achievement Award for the project. He subsequently graduated with honors and received his Master of Engineering with specialization in industrial engineering.

Golway continued with Biles & Associates until 1994, when he was recruited by SSOE, a nationally recognized leader in the architectural and engineering consulting services industry. He accepted a position as a Senior Industrial Engineering at SSOE's corporate headquarters, in Toledo, Ohio. Golway specialized in helping a variety of clients solve business problems through the use of computer simulation modeling. During his time with SSOE, he was featured in a commercial created for the simulation tool, AutoMOD.

In 1995, Golway received an opportunity to move his family back to Kentucky as a Senior Industrial Engineer with Dow Corning Corporation. He spent the next 2 years helping the company improve manufacturing, distribution and logistics for North American operations. His efforts focused on streamlining business processes associated with Dow Corning's end-to-end supply chain.

In 1997, Golway was recruited and hired by ASAP Automation as a Sales Engineer. In this role, he had the ability to work with clients to design and implement highly automated material handling equipment and software systems. During the next three years Golway sharpened his consultative sales approach and realized extraordinary success by designing and selling automated turnkey solutions to clients that ranged from $3 million to over $7 million investments.

In 1999, Golway received the Outstanding Young Engineer Award from the JB Speed School of Engineering.

In 2000, he accomplished his long standing goal of passing and receiving his Professional Engineering License. Later that year he also realized, again, his true passion of technology entrepreneurship when he acquired Integrated Distribution Solutions, Inc., a Charlotte, NC based company. During the next four years Golway worked to build an industrial engineering and software engineering business model that specialized in outsourced engineering services as well as developing niche commercial software products.

In 2004, Golway was awarded the Louisville, KY area Business First's, Forty under 40 Award, which recognizes outstanding young professionals.

In October 2004, Golway completed the acquisition of Advanced Solutions, Inc.

Golway has served on the University of Louisville Speed Alumni Council since 2002 and the Autodesk Strategic Alliance Council since 2005. He serves on the Idea Festival Planning Committee, University of Louisville Industrial Advisory Board and is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Golway and his wife of 15 years, Renee, have three children. Golway is an avid University of Louisville and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
